Updating your Lab Placard

In your to have a lab placard your lab must be registered into EHSA! 

You can request a lab placard by clicking the button below. This will alert one of our student workers to create the placard. This method may take a couple weeks to months depending on the time of year.

Updating Placard on Your Own

  1. Click Placards Icon

  2. Click "Edit Placard Details"

  3. Click on Lab Room row and then click "Edit Lab Placard" or Double click the row

  4. Update your Hazards. Most should be updated through the lab assessment form!

  5. Update your Lab Placard Emergency Contacts. Scroll to bottom of page and you can use the search by workers or PIs

  6. Click Save Button on bottom of page

  7. Click EHSA on Top of Left of the Page

  8. Click "Lab Research Placard" Report

If you need a Biosafety placard you can select "LSU BSL2 Lab Placard".

If the biosafety placard is incorrect please contact the Biosafety Manager for LSU BSL2 Lab Placards.
