ADA accommodation
LSU complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. If your student has an IEP or 504 plan, please inform us of any accommodations or modifications they may require for participation in the Summer Academy and their chosen camp.
Students in need of disability-based accommodations should note this in the registration form and also contact us via email at summer-academy@lsu.edu to communicate their specific accommodation requirements.
1. Review Camp Requirements
Every camp may have different eligibility or prerequisites.
Make sure you’re selecting a camp that matches your student’s needs and schedule.
Check for:
To ensure the best experience for all participants, students must fall within their required grade level or age range in order to register.
To maintain high quality instruction and support, enrollment is limited. Once a program is full, additional registration cannot be accepted.
Each summer program has a dedicated format to support student learning. Be sure the format fits your availability and needs before continuing. Participants must be able to fully participate in the selected format.
2. Complete the Online Application
Some camps may require separate applications (ex. Pre-College academic programs). If so, instructions will be clearly noted.
You will be asked to provide:
Parent or Guardian contact information is required for communication regarding program updates, schedules, and any urgent needs.
Please ensure the information provided is accurate and monitored regularly.
Providing accurate student information helps us create a safe, supportive, and academically appropriate experience for each participant.
Please review all entries for accuracy before submitting.
At least one emergency contact is required in the event a parent or guardian cannot be reached. Emergency contacts must be adults authorized to make decisions on behalf of the student in lieu of parents.
Providing necessary medical and health documents allows our staff to care for student appropriately and respond effectively in emergencies.
Required documents must be submitted in-full before participating in the program.
3. Submit Payment or Request Financial Support
After submitting the application:
- You will be directed to the Payment Portal to pay the required deposit or full fee (depends on the camp).
- If your camp offers scholarships or financial assistance, you will see an option to apply. These forms must be submitted before the listed deadline.
- Registration is not guaranteed until payment/deposit is received.
Payment requirements vary by summer camp. Some camps require a non-refundable deposit at the time of registration, while others require payment in full at registration.
Refund and cancellation policies also vary by camp. Families are responsible for reviewing the payment schedule, refund policy, and cancellation terms listed on the individual camp’s registration form before submitting payment.
By completing registration, families acknowledge and agree to the payment and refund policy for the selected camp.

Once your application and payment/deposit have been received, you will receive a confirmation email.
If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours, please contact the program manager or direct contact for registered camp.
